We were on the road on a Sunday and knew we would not find anything open down the road. The very nice lady there fixed us great sandwiches & Cole slaw with everything we would need to eat while traveling. It was all fresh and wonderful, just like her!!!

On way home from Mooers Forks NY was looking for a place to eat. Came across here on the GPS search. We stopped in. Great food, great environment, friendly staff. Food was quick to come out. We came in after the lunch rush. Will definitely go back again. I got the homemade meatloaf with mashed potatoes and gravy with very delicious carrots. My fiance got liver and onions with mashed potatoes gravy and carrots.

Visited twice once for dinner, the second time for drinks & snacks. Food was great, I recommend the gravy fries. The fried halibut, also worth it! My wife & are from Wisconsin & this was the bar experience we were looking for! I'd call this place a dive bar, but to be clear that's high praise.

Such a great restaurant, the sandwiches are amazing. The waiting time for the food was so short and yet tasted fresh. The service was great too. I really recommend the restaurant! P.S. best fries i’ve ever had.

Dad used to get off the Northway after a weeks hike in the high peaks of the ADK’s just to stop here! That was 1965 and later. Still here in 2025, but now I stop on the way home after time at camp in Long Lake. Always hits the spot. Papa Bear burger and French fries and gravy!
